System Conversion Coming in June

Since RTN Federal Credit Union and Merrimack Valley Credit Union became one institution last year, we’ve been thoughtfully planning and integrating systems. During the weekend of June 1, our final system conversion will take place.

 

What to do before Conversion

To ensure a seamless transition, there are a few steps former RTN members should take prior to the conversion:

All Members

Please verify or update your contact information (Name, mailing address, email, phone number) so you can receive updated communications from us. You may do this through Online Banking (go to "Settings", then "Profile"), Mobile Banking (go to "Settings", then "Personal Information") or visit any branch.

Online Banking Users

If you would like to keep a history of your transactions, you will need to export your data from Online Banking before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30. To export, log into Online Banking and select the account that has the data you want to export. Click “More Actions” then “Export Transactions” and in the “Format” bar, choose a file format from the drop-down menu.

Online Banking & Mobile Banking Users

  • Set up any transfers or bill payments that need to be processed the weekend of June 1 prior to Wednesday, May 29. You will be able to set up new transfers or bill payments in MVCU’s online and mobile banking starting on June 3.
  • Make sure you know your username and password. On MVCU’s online and mobile banking, you will only need one username and password to access your accounts. If you currently have multiple usernames to access your accounts, we will provide information about which username is migrating to MVCU’s systems prior to
    June 1.

 

What to do during conversion weekend

The System Conversion will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2.

Systems

The following systems will be unavailable during the conversion:

  • Online and Mobile Banking
  • Bill Pay
  • Telephone Banking
  • Online applications, including loans, new accounts and credit cards

All branches will be open regularly scheduled hours on Friday, May 31. We will be open Saturday, June 1 for inquiries and assistance only.  We will not be able to perform real-time transactions during the conversion.

Access your funds

You can access your funds during the conversion in the following ways:

  • Withdraw cash on or before Friday, May 31 at an MVCU branch or ATM
  • Visit an MVCU ATM to make deposits or withdrawals up to $500.00 of your available balance daily. Balance inquiries will not be available over that weekend.
  • Use your debit card to make purchases up to $750.00 of your available balance daily.
  • Use your credit card to purchase items online or at point of sale.
  • Write checks to pay bills. Please do not use checks to pay for purchases at point of sale. It may take longer for checks to clear, so please plan accordingly.

Member Support Team

Our Member Support team is ready to answer your questions and will have extended hours during the conversion:

  • Thursday, May 30: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 31: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 1: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 2: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

Mortgage System Consolidation

On May 1, 2024, Merrimack Valley Credit Union will be consolidating our mortgage servicing systems.  All Former RTN Members with mortgages have received a letter about the transfer of their mortgages, along with the corresponding Frequently Asked Questions.

All Former RTN Mortgage holders will benefit from the consolidation through the following expanded services:

  • Increased payment options
  • Interactive telephone banking system
  • Extended hours for customer service via telephone
  • Quick and easy access to your mortgage through online and mobile banking on June 3, 2024.
